That AC comic was given out at the EB Games conference.

It is pretty official. The artists who drew it seem to be some of the concept artists for Assassin's Creed, but judging from Desmond's actions, the plot seems to have changed between the making of the comic and the finishing of making the game. Desmond seems more docile in the game, don't you think?
